"False
habits and loose reasons. I can't think straight these days. Make
things go much faster. There's so much time to waste. Decommission
my senses until, until I regulate them. Maybe numbers, or a letter.
Yes, that might just work better. That way I'll never have to
move. And neither will you. The inconvenience of me. The inconvenience
of you." - "Hit List Shakes (The inconvenience
of You)"
The
Days And Nights Of Everything Anywhere completely
seals 31Knots importance in this age of what
defines 'important music'. These three fellas - Joe Hague, Jay
Pellicci & Jay Winebrenner [plus guests] - put their pants
on one leg at a time [much like the rest of the pants-wearing
working world], but when these chaps do so - they bring the fucking
slay to the land of inventive rock.
Be
it the 'on time' blow of a whistle that serves as the catalyst
on "Savage Boutique", the bands absolute perfection
at the 'brief pause - then destroy' attack [see: "Hit
List Shakes"] or any moment that Hague is
spilling/barking/disclosing words of complete brilliance [ie:
every moment] - 31Knots are the most important band in/on
the "scene" right now [a fact previously
stated].
Seriously, clutch your "Neon Bible"[s] and whatever
'triple exclamation mark' batch of rehashed hippo shit that fills
your wound - 31Knots are the bridge that rises over the shallow
river of weak indie rock. Sure - I'm ashamed that I have to put
a voice of truth on weaker bands... but this is like 31Knots,
dudes.
All
hail The Days And Nights Of Everything Anywhere. Seek/purchase/absorb
everything this band creates. I feel safe clutching this album
and her lyrics - bring on the Pale Horse and
Rider.
"But
now I walk and talk the panic just
like a bitch, creeping me with frequency. Deceit, deceit, decide".
