age of hating Karen. Bunnygrunt
Karen Hater's Club
(HHBTM) 2005

Karen Reid and Matt Harnish started Bunnygrunt back up again after a six-year hiatus - and it's definitely a good thing, or we would not have this album. With way too many friends contributing here and there they have created one of my favorite albums. This is definitely in my top ten albums ever list.

The album starts with "Bunnygrunt @ Budokan." This is my favorite song on the album. It's a bit short and not like the other songs but it's so perfect with the screeching guitars and drums. Pure noise fun and screams of "Oh yeah!, Oh, yeah!" at the end. I love this song so much.

The next song "Again With The Skirt" is another song that is too good. It's the perfect song to listen to on a Saturday in the Summer-time after watching cartoons -- actually the whole album is. And especially like 70's cartoons that used to be on Cartoon Network again around 1997 like Archie, Josie and the Pussycats, that big talking shark thing that I forget what it was called, along with the Banana Splits too. Actually Bunnygrunt should have their own television series like a mix between the Banana Splits and Josie and the Pussycats. If there could be anything in the world I want - it would be that. It would be so much fun.

Other really good songs are "Me and My Vampire Friends," "Nobody Rides For Free," and "We Got Your Money." All the other songs are great too, but those especially.

The whole album is just nice distorted guitars playing fun shambling noisy pop with girl/boy vocals. Even old grandmothers who might complain that it's a bit noisy would still love it, it's that good.

Now with new bassist Lauren Trull, hopefully they stay around a lot longer because we need more Bunnygrunt!
