Listening
to Illuminated Manuscript made me see and breathe places far
away, remember vicariously.. feel tomorrows not yet arrived. I somehow
took a long walk on wet urban pavement in a city I have never visited
and saw light reflecting rows of windows of buildings not even constructed.
Over undertones of horizons well past 180 degrees, Cale Parks
seamlessly provides a veritable environment like a clean water swim
without getting wet. I would like to be listening to this while riding
some form of public transportation, ideally at sunup or down . . and
then perhaps look a tired stranger in the eye
with a wish to free them their tediums and see their childface return.

recorded this solo debut in his freetime between and during moments
spent in various cities. All accomplished while recording his primary
love Aloha's recent release, Some Echoes, and being a touring
