Mt.
Gigantic
Gleanings and Gatherings
[ Friends
and Relatives Records | Harlan Records : 2006ish ]
Let
me tell you something:
Mt. Gigantic [and the honeybeard of bees they flew
in on] are a revolution that have yet to be heard by the audience that
awaits them. Mt. Sargeant/artist Wayne Williams and
his noble league of corp engineers [including the musical Tobey's, Jutin
Vollmar & such] place every bead of passion sweat and intensity
onto/into the albums they create [enter: megaphone] and release into
this void of a nation. Lead track "Get Well Cougher" takes
off from the 'get with a spiralling gaggle of chaos before settling
into a bit of a breather midway where Williams' damn
fine lyrics beg for interpretation: "what's more face to face
than fucking kissing kissing / gets us closer closer closer". Exhale
> inhale > softball
size hail!! REPEAT!
If
it were up to me, and this whole story of rapturous Revelation
[see: the Bible] was to become an event that those in
our lifetime would witness - I'd stand/sleep in line for the DJ'ing
gig and repeat Gleanings
and Gatherings until the fucking bottom dropped out. "Believers
come and taste it" b/w "Who is in? Who is out?".
"
I might have been an upright bear bear with a heart of purest gold if
the gun had been placed to my head at the time of decision - but I was
blessed with a generous lack of complication ".
Like
riding a bike for the first time, learning to use a scientific calculator
and/or shining your dentures with bowling alley wax - understanding
a Mt. Gigantic album is only half o'the brilliant battle.. . after that
comes the pride of no longer having to wonder. Fatherfuckers,
LISTEN! I love you, Wayne.
