Portable
Folk Band
introduces the Royal Postal Bazaar
( ©

In
my uncontrollable 'list of things that make me happiest in this life
to be lived by only the damned' - good new music comes in around number
2. In the sub-category of 'music', hand made art that includes vellum
and well drawn banners lists high as well. If each of these things also
fall into a single band category [enter: Portable Folk Band],
and that group of players recorded and developed such an album in a
4' x 10' "room" [that's generally a closet, in backwoods Virginia
terms] - well then we'd call everyone in for the blue ribbon ceremony.
The
Philadelphia music community includes such sctas-lauded "acts"
as [to name a textful] Honeymoon Records, the
Doctor and Phillip, Mazarin and The Twin Atlas. Another of those
lists, I tell you... for now we place pen to notebook and slide Portable
Folk Band, and their cheerfine mix of heavenly pop/psych'folk-a-phelia,
on the page. From the bands obvious influence in all things hopped up
on "Paperboy" [where the band drops the "F-U-C-K-I-N-G
Ass"-bomb on their landlord] to the gentler pastures of "Explain"
[MP3]
- you should expect a wild batch of pureness throughout the entire
Royal Postal Bazaar revolution(s). "Baby Food" is
like a gold brick from 1968 - so, hear that one too.
Do
it, do it. From the B-A-N-D: This album can be purchased through
PayPal
for $6.49. With this purchase, you receive a very snazzy
CD with cover art and a jewel case. You will also receive a gift. It
will not be stupid. m-a-r-k-r-u-o-k.
Hint: 25%
of Portable Folk Band is girl. 75% of Portable Folk Band is boy.
